April 16 – Alta Vista Botanical Garden – 1270 Vale Terrace Dr., Vista Follow the signs up to the gardens. They should be in full bloom this time of year including the water lilies. Lots of variety and they’ve always welcome us as painters. They recommend a $5 donation to park and enter the gardens and restrooms are available.
Happy New Year! Looking forward to another fun year of painting with you. I’ve gone coastal heavy this month to try to capture the ever changing nature of our local environment especially with the winter storms and at a time when the lack of tourists make parking just a little easier. I am always open to suggestions for locations.
As a side note, there is a new Save the Oceans 2024 Surfing Madonna show opening January 17 at the Front Porch Gallery (2903 Carlsbad Blvd., Carlsbad) featuring works by some of our Tuesday Painters. The reception is January 21, 12-2pm and you are welcome to attend.
