January 30 – Moonlight State Beach Vistas from above or waves on the beach. Park above and walk down to the beach to paint this popular spot that is too crowded for us to get near in the summer months. Easy parking and restrooms. 400 B Street Encinitas (follow the signs to the parking lot)
Happy New Year! Looking forward to another fun year of painting with you. I’ve gone coastal heavy this month to try to capture the ever changing nature of our local environment especially with the winter storms and at a time when the lack of tourists make parking just a little easier. I am always open to suggestions for locations.
As a side note, there is a new Save the Oceans 2024 Surfing Madonna show opening January 17 at the Front Porch Gallery (2903 Carlsbad Blvd., Carlsbad) featuring works by some of our Tuesday Painters. The reception is January 21, 12-2pm and you are welcome to attend.
