I graduated from UCLA as a pictorial arts major, and also had minors in math and German literature.I studied painting and drawing there with some famous artists, including Richard Diebenkorn and Charles Garabedian. I earned a teaching credential at UCLA and worked for a few years as a substitute teacher for junior and senior high schools in art, math, and German. After that I did paintings, including ballet scenery, took ballet classes, and cared for my children. I did volunteer work which included being president of San Dieguito Art Guild from 2007 to 2009.
Some of my favorite artists are Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Jan Vermeer, Guy Rose, Vincent Van Gogh and Itchiku Kubota. In my paintings, I try to show an optimistic attitude and a love for light and beauty in nature. My paintings that I show here are no longer available, and are not for sale.
