Peter Fay Cudillero Harbor

“Cudillero, Spain”

Pete was born in White Plains, New York and has lived in California since graduating as a Mechanical Engineer from Purdue University.

After working 40 plus years in the aerospace and electric power generating industries he was liberated (retired) in 1998 to pursue his growing passion for photography and travel. Although he has been active in photography ever since receiving a Leica camera as a graduation gift, only now has he had the time to take classes under master photographers and to expand his knowledge of the art through practice, practice, practice. He is basically self-taught. He endeavors to hone his skills by studying the work of others, but mainly through critical self-examination of his own work, which is constantly evolving.

Over the past fifteen years Pete’s worldwide travels have provided a constant source of inspiration and material for his portfolio. He has captured photographic treasures in Africa, Australia, the Far East, Europe, and the western United States, concentrating on the Colorado Plateau. He constantly works on refining his photographic technique with the goal of creating powerful images that fuse light, color, and forms together in unique ways. His emphasis has been on nature photography but other interests include cityscapes, macro photography, and portraiture.

Pete is an award-winning exhibitor at the Del Mar Fair Exhibition of Photography where he received the “Best Of Show” award in 1998. You can find his work at the San Dieguito Art Guild’s Off Track Gallery in Leucadia and at the Ajo Art Gallery in Ajo, Arizona. He is also a frequent exhibitor at various shows in the San Diego area.

Images are available in sizes ranging from 8″x10″ to 20″x30″. They can be provided as prints, matted prints or fully matted and framed prints.
