Whitney Moore

Whitney Moore Fine Art

“Fields of Gold”

Born and raised in Southern California, Whitney comes from a family of artists – her mother, aunt and sister are all oil painters.  She casually began to study oil painting while working, but really got serious once she left the corporate world.  She paints both still life and landscapes, with flowers and fruit being her favorite subjects. She also enjoys the challenge of plein air painting and the opportunity to capture the natural beauty of California and it’s amazing variety of native trees, plants and flowers.

Whitney is an award winning member of the San Dieguito Art Guild, showing her work at the Off Track Gallery in Encinitas. She is also a juried member of the La Jolla Art Association and Oil Painter’s of America. She has studied with Elizabeth Robbins, Daniel Keyes, Derek Penix, Shanna Kunz, Kathy Anderson, Marjorie Taylor and Jeff Yeomans.

She lives in coastal San Diego and paints as often as possible with her mother, aunt and sister.
