Artists Statement:
“As an artist you have the total freedom to choose your subject and in that choice, I decide on capturing the beauty of the moment, suspending time.”
Inspired at an early age by the her father’s painting and sculpting Jane majored in Graphic Arts at San Diego State University and began her career as a computer artist. Jane’s background in graphic design is seen in her paintings; they are bright and bold with a strong sense of design. She paints what inspires her, capturing a moment in time. Her work is influenced by her personal day to day experiences as well as her travels abroad. Jane specializes in watercolor and displays her work around San Diego. Her works include local scenes, figures, landscapes, animals, and commissioned work.
Each year Jane donates an original watercolor to one or two of her favorite charities to help raise money.  This year she donated to the CAF- Challenged Athletes Foundation and Surf-Rider Foundation.
Jayne is a member of the San Diego Water Color Society, the San Dieguito Art Guild, and the Del Mar Art Center.
